Lab 7: Leadership and Management in Startups

Format: Group coaching with 1-5 or up to 1-10 participants

Assessment Before: Pre-lab survey to assess current leadership and team-building skills.

Difference from 16-week Program: This lab offers an in-depth exploration of leadership and management specific to startups, with practical exercises and personalized feedback that build on the comprehensive leadership content introduced in the 16-week program.

5-weeks Coaching Program

Week 1: Leadership Styles

  • Objectives:
  1. Understanding different leadership styles
  2. Identifying your leadership style
  • Preparation:
  1. Reflect on your current leadership style and its effectiveness.
  2. Research different leadership styles and their characteristics.

Week 2: Team Dynamics

  • Objectives:
  1. Basics of team dynamics
  2. Building effective teams
  • Preparation:
  1. Assess your current team structure and dynamics.
  2. Identify areas for improvement in team collaboration and communication.

Week 3: Conflict Resolution

  • Objectives:
  1. Understanding conflict resolution
  2. Conflict resolution strategies
  • Preparation:
  1. Reflect on recent conflicts within your team and their resolutions.
  2. Research effective conflict resolution strategies.

Week 4: Motivation and Engagement

  • Objectives:
  1. Basics of employee motivation
  2. Strategies for employee engagement
  • Preparation:
  1. Review your current strategies for motivating and engaging employees.
  2. Gather feedback from your team on what motivates them.

Week 5: Strategic Leadership

  • Objectives:
  1. Basics of strategic leadership
  2. Developing strategic leadership skills
  • Preparation:
  1. Reflect on your long-term vision and strategic goals for your company.
  2. Research strategic leadership practices and their implementation.
